![]() | Day 2 : Antananarivo – Diego, the three bays To get to Diego Suarez, we will take a regular flight which serves the town. As soon as we arrive, we will immediately go to the Three Bays (the Bay of Sakalava, the Bay of the Pigeons, and the Bay of Dunes). Wild and perfectly conserved, these bays are for the holidaymakers a small paradisiacal corner, located far from the frenzies of the big towns. To reach these bays, we will go by the Cap Miné where there are some forts dated back to the colonial era, then we will end this day with a magnificent sunset while going back to Diego Suarez. Night and breakfast in the hotel |
Day 3 : Diego – Joffreville (Mount Amber) Departure for Joffreville, a small town whose old-fashioned charm has come from the existence of the buildings dated back to the colonization. This is the departure point of our journey toward the Mount Amber. Travelling with a local guide (which is compulsory as in all the national parks), we will go on a ramble during which the very rare animal and plant species appear to us. It will be a real delight to discover the strangle fig tree or to flush out the smallest chameleons. This park will allow us to totally immerse ourselves into the heart of the nature. Night and breakfast in the hotel
![]() | Day 4 : Joffreville – Red Tsingy - Ankarana On this fourth day, we will have a visit to the Red Tsingy, located at about 20 kilometres from the town. To get there, we will go across a village of fishermen and lots of bridges. The Tsingy are very particular geological formations, resulting from the deforestation of this region. The erosion shaped crevasses and strange forms, which offers a large palette of colours from the red of the laterite to the very light pink. The sites have got a lot of curiosities which really worth a detour. Continuation toward Ankarana. Night and breakfast in the hotel |
Day 5 : Ankarana A whole day spent in the National Park of Ankarana, whose formation is the result from some slow karstic erosion. This special reserve is interesting for more than one reason. Recalling the Tsingy of Bemaraha, the Tsingy of Ankarana is really important either for its biodiversity or for its history and culture. The site is also suitable for speleology, which is another way of appreciating its beauty. Night and breakfast in the hotel
Day 6: Ankarana – Ankify – Nosy Be It is at Ankify, a small port village, that we will embark for Nosy Be on board a fast motor boat. From Ankarana to Ankify, we will travel across cacao and coffee plantations. The heady perfume of the ylang-ylang flowers will follow us all along the road. Night and breakfast in the hotel
![]() | Day 7 and 8 : Nosy Be The two days we will spend in Nosy Be will be free time for us so that we could make the most of the mythical beauty of the Isle of perfumes. During this stay, it is quite impossible to miss the magnificent beaches of the isle. The natural reserve of Lokobe is also a part of the sites to e visited. A great number of islets offer lots of opportunities for going on a cruise on board a catamaran or a barge all around the islets such as Nosy Kismany, Ankazobehevitra, Tany Kely or else Sakatia. Night and breakfast in the hotel |
